The Kodak 1875481 Gripping Tripod is an amazing tripod. It can be used on a table, the back of a chair, or just hanging out a car window. Just attach your camera to it, park your car on a cross street or in a driveway, roll the window down about half way and take your photo. It provides a stable platform to take photographs with stability control on and your camera will not shake when you take the picture. The rubber of the tripod (see link below) keeps your window from being scratched so that you don't have to choose between your camera and your car. Kodak 1875491 Gripping Tripod (SM Orange)

The tripod can also be used on a table if taking pictures in rapid succession, bracketing photos or shooting movies. I am theoretically able to do this with my new NEX5 camera, but the camera is complicated to say the least and I am not there yet. Also, if you happen to drop the tripod on grass or somewhere indoors (I CAN do this!), the orange and black colors make it easy to find.
