Bought this to go with some macro filters that I bought. It stepped up my 46mm lens to the required 58mm for the filters. Only thing is if you have a point and shoot camera where the lens retracts into the camera when you shut it off, take the ring off before doing so, it will cause an error on the camera and could eventually break it if you do it repeatedly.
